Playgroup: Green for St. Patrick's Day!

For our playgroup activity last week, we celebrated St. Patty's Day one day early.

We started with two books featuring green creatures--dragons and frogs!

We decorated little shamrocks for the bulk of our activity, and the children used their fine motor skills to cut out the shamrock's, draw on them, and glue feathers or foam shapes. Every day practice can help your kids improve in this area, and you will be able to see the difference as they get older.

We finished off the activity with some Duck, Duck, Goose. The concept of this game was sort of hard when I introduced it to them the first time, but as we continue to play it, the kids understand when to run, what to say, and how to play so that everyone gets a turn.

Because it was a special holiday playgroup, we broke from the norm for the treat and had chocolate coins!

Thanks for stopping by!
